“The City of Majestic Waterfalls”, the modifier used to typically portray Iligan City. Obviously, the city has 23 amazing waterfalls. The most recognized waterfall is the Maria Cristina Falls. It is Iligan’s greatest heritage, the landmark of Iligan City. It is 320 feet high and the absolute source of industrial power in the city. Also, it is the most dazzling among the 23 waterfalls. The said falls is also known as the twin falls because of the rocks that led to the misdirection of the falls that seemed to split in half.

The city is not merely about waterfalls. The city also has many wonderful tourist spots. One of these is the Iligan City Hall. The city hall is situated on top of Buhanginan Hill, 130 feet above sea level, which is considered the seat of Government of Iligan that is built way back 1956. It is also a favorite promontory of Iliganons for viewing the sunset skyline of the city by night. Another is the Anahaw Open Amphitheater. It is just southeast of the city hall and only 2.3 kilometers away from the city proper. It is most likely to be the biggest amphitheater in Mindanao. It can also be a stunning site to view Iligan City, where children can roam around the playground. The pathway going to the staid place can be a challenge to the people fond of morning exercise.
